I've only recently gotten into these games and have had a great experience with all of them so far, until this one. It felt like this mystery contained very little substance. Most of the materials in the box were useless, probably added just to make the game feel more valuable than it was. Most Hunt a Killer games have little hints sprinkled throughout all of the text, making reading a crucial part of the game. In this one, it's basically a waste of time; there are no pertinent clues in most of the text provided. The autodrawing clue was not well-executed, and I really dislike the fact that you have to destroy evidence to finish the game, making this box impossible to pass on to friends after you're done. Too expensive for a single use, poorly made kit.
Have been playing HAK games for a little while, enjoying the dynamic clue sets and how it all falls into place for a big reveal in the end.
This box was not at all like the rest. The ghost comm is completely pointless and unintelligible. Half the content of the box is pointless. The website can only be accessed with a VPN to some country that supports it and the whole timeline/dynamic of the game is off.
This feels like it was written by kid content YouTubers, with no real challenge and absolutely no logical way to go. The hints are completely pointless, as one needs a happy accident rather than a good idea to get through it. 90-120 min? If you are lucky to go through this thing with a few of those, more like 20 min. Terrible experience. I sure hope that the future HAK games I may purchase are up to standard, I feel absolutely scammed.
P.S.:I cannot understand how there are 5 star reviews in this, it feels like bots.
Fun game as a beginner-tad easy for me.
This is my fifth mystery game like this and by far the worst, the clues are nonsense and there’s so much useless crap involved it’s no fun at all :(
Looked forward to doing this one. Wife and I have spent 100s on these and this one was a bad experience for once. Usually they are great but almost 80% of the box was unnecessary and did nothing to solve the puzzle. The most interesting piece without spoilers (the "spooky" element) had nothing to do with solving the crime and the interactive with water piece didnt work and we had to Google the image afterward to solve it. Would definitely recommend any of their other products, but I cant get behind this one
