This is a classic, solid box. Feels grounded. Feels plausible. Lots of story-lines that cross over each other. A mix of types of evidence to toy with. If you have not done this box, prioritize it over some of the more recent experiences.
I enjoyed doing the keycard puzzle and the poems were fun, but I ended up really frustrated trying to figure out the actual murder weapon because there were so few details of the injury and the actual murder weapon was really fucking dumb. I won't spoil anything, but there's no way that the murder weapon could kill someone in the way that the game describes it. At least, it wouldn't be the instant death described here. At least give us more details of the actual murder site. No wonder I couldnt get it and needed hints, because the solution was impossible.
Plus, the box being open? Why? Why would it be open at that point? Was Julian stealing something? I cant imagine him wanting to look at the note again given his feelings about it. So much of this scenario just doesn't make sense. Im also pretty sure that several of the timestamps for the keycards are wrong, making it even more frustrating. The amount of red herrings combined with how nonsensical the actual solution was made everything a huge, unsolvable web of frustration. Ive enjoyed other Hunt a Killer games, but this one was awful
5 stars me and the boys had so much fun we killed a man for more fun
