My friend and I played Sam & Colby’s Hunt A Killer game and honestly… not impressed. The paper dissolved before giving us any actual answer (so helpful 🙄), and we ended up having to go through all the reveals just to figure it out. There were barely any real hints, which made it more annoying than fun. We love Sam & Colby, but this could’ve been 10x better — they just lacked in this department.
I loved the game it felt like we were part of one of their videos only problem was we didn’t do the disintegrating paper right that part was hard was really fun other than that how come no one is noticing that girls drawing in the epilogue its actually crazy
The whole point of the stupid paper is to dissolve. It never dissolved. I now have wet paper.
I've been purchasing and playing hunt a killer boxes for years now and this just doesn't hit the same as a typical hunt a killer. The formatting doesn't work for a paranormal investigation, and the ending isn't nearly as satisfying. I also think you have to be a die hard Sam and Colby fan to get any real enjoyment out of this box - as someone who knows of them but hasn't watched their content in years, I felt less attached to the storyline and the fake videos in the "haunted house" felt super cheesy and pointless to the overall story.
Overall, Hunt a Killer needs a return to form and go back to creating higher quality boxes with believable stories. Ever since the company was bought, the content that has been getting pushed out has been underwhelming to say the least.
