Product Details

Hank Maartens, the leader of a local renaissance festival, is found murdered and half-burned in the iron smith’s forge. After interviewing suspects, the police have made an arrest: Sam Langstar, the faire’s smithy, who got into a suspicious fight with Hank the day of the murder. Despite the tragedy, everyone, both in the faire and the town, is seemingly ready to move on with their lives.

Except for Artemis Troy, a young squire at the faire. Sam was Art’s mentor, and she doesn’t believe the setup, thinking it’s far too clean. She believes something else is afoot, and she sets out to solve the real mystery of Hank’s murder, and hopefully save the faire itself.

  • Get all 6 boxes at once. That’s  10-15 hours of gameplay!
  • Reconstruct the movements, motivations, and opportunities of all the members of this renfaire to bring Hank's killer to justice. Decode ciphers and solve puzzles to understand the true motivations of the suspects. Be the main character in a gripping murder mystery!

This box is perfect for:

  • Transforming an ordinary night in into a thrilling murder investigation.
  • A unique gift for the aspiring detective in your life group.
  • The true crime fanatic who has always wondered if they could solve a murder.

Do you have what it takes to Hunt A Killer? Immersive, story-driven board games for you to play alone or cooperatively. Sort through evidence, decode ciphers, piece together clues, and catch the killer. It's like an escape room delivered right to your door.

Love the inclusivity

Love the use of pronouns, felt very nice and refreshing to see included in boxes like these. Do not let homophobic reviews deter you from buying this box or including more characters like this. Thank you HaK!

Low Quality and They They They

I normally really like HAK's products but this one failed in every way. I was really excited for the theme too. The case was poorly written though. There was a lot to be assumed that was a stretch, for example just because someone was at the scene doing a simple activity wouldn't mean to me they could be eliminated as a suspect. I appreciate the little online videos but there were too many documents online instead being printed out in a nice quality. That whole play document should have been printed out and the print outs were all cheap quality! Online portion should only be for videos. This one also pushed pronouns. One of the documents was talking about a person who uses "they" pronouns and half the paragraph was illegible because it had they like 50 times! It was unclear if they were talking about the they character or the as in the group. No room for that stuff in something in paying for!

Absolutely Terrible

Don't get me wrong, I usually love these stories like the Cadence theatre one I adored. This set was abysmal! It was full of woke stuff, pushing marxist dialectic, using they/them pronouns. What a way to ruin something creative by turning into divisive swill. Good grief I will be taking a long break from HaK. Try Unsolved Case files on Amazon, better stories, much cheaper and better written.

I think each episode should have a lock box

I think each episode should have a lock box. I also missed the suspect bios. Too much computer content which is hard to manage with a group. So far, very disappointed for the cost.
