All crimes are about a story. I think the people who didn’t enjoy this, couldn’t figure out the story. Any good legal case requires developing a back story. All the “unnecessary” clues give you the back story and show the possibilities. Sure, go for the obvious kill, the earring at the scene, and the driver with a weapon, but you miss the Russian history and don’t figure out the bracelet, and no one mentioned the phone message….so did you get the full experience?
Move back down to Easy….this was a solid heist.
This was so truly was so easy, but the explanations were done so poorly that it made it difficult to even clear subjects, causing much over-complication. We could have/did figure it out in the beginning, but upon opening everything it made it overcomplicated. So many useless clues and not enough actual clues. The weapons in the explanation came out of the blue; we were only given the measurements of the weapon… it was never stated what it could possibly be until we just went with our original guess,(which was very obvious before even opening up the locked box) and they gave us the official letter. If I’m wrong, tell me where half of the explanation in the letter would be found. They claimed mention of a weapon, the individuals alibi, as well as a few other things that were never brought up. “Find the motive” but there truly was no motive that could only apply to a single individual. Cool concept but poorly executed.
The story didnt line up very well and it was a little confusing figuring out where to begin. Were avid unsolved case files players and we typically get through the evidence without needing to use up all the clues. With this game we needed to use every clue and we were still lost. The ending didnt make any sense and didnt really explain why he was the killer
Ive played most of the series and this one has been my least favorite of them. I just felt like there could have been more of a story after or a different reveal. It just felt so obvious and the clues didn't really feel like they tied together or were relevant.
Overall, I love this series. I just didn't like this one in particular.
